Introduction

Since 1985, we have been leading a research into visceral osteopathic field. With X-Rays and echograms we first studied the movement ("dynamics"), in the abdomen, of gastro intestine, liver, spleen, kidneys and pancreas under the influence of diaphragma respiratory movement; this visceral movement does not correspond with peristaltism.

For each organ, we have taken pictures in normal inhalation and normal exhalation positions; these 3000 pictures were computerized and studied in relation to horizontal and vertical shifts and variation of inclination axis in each space plane.

Results of this statistic study have shown that an organised and repetitive dynamics does exist on visceral level. It's to say viscera move on a specific way under diaphragma ram pressure.

Furthermore, we noticed that this visceral course can be changed; in that case, a new statistical study shows that a definite visceral dysfunction is in correlation with a definite perturbed dynamics.

In order to re-equilibrate those movements, we found new visceral manual normalizations; technique is simple, based on the precise knowledge of visceral dynamics discovered in the research.

To determine what is to be cured, we use facial induction. It consists in inducing a manual shift on the abdomen in the diagnosed area corresponding to the area of the organ and perceiving the tissular response. With those tests, we are able to find where the organ dynamics lack probably is and, after manual normalization, to control, in the same way, the return to normal dynamics.

We want now to study the effects of this visceral normalizations. We are carrying out a research with the Engineers of the FPMs (Faculté Polytechnique de Mons, Belgium) and a private society.

We have produced a one hour and a half video explaining the whole research. Some clips are available on this site.

We are working in private consulting room.

We are now teaching at :
  • ESO (Swiss Osteopathic School) in Lausanne, SWITZERLAND.
  • SCOM (Sutherland College of Osteopathic Medicine) BELGIUM.
  • EOP Roma (Italian school) ITALY.

We published a book in FRANCE (Ed. R. JOLLOIS 1992)  and in the USA (RUDRA PRESS,PORTLAND Orégon, 2000)
